Get the most from your nets
A few minutes of correct fitting makes all the difference. Here is how to choose, install and care for each type of Netgoods product — and how to use them safely.
Please read before installing. Netgoods insect nets are chemical-free physical barriers, not repellents or pesticides. Pet and child products are aids, not guarantees. Correct installation, fit and ongoing supervision are your responsibility. Keep small mesh, cords and parts away from children under 3 and pets to avoid entanglement or choking.
Insect & mosquito nets
- These are physical barriers — they keep insects out only when there are no gaps. Fit snugly and check the edges.
- There are no chemicals on the mesh, so there is nothing to wear off or reapply.
- For strollers and beds, keep the mesh taut and clear of faces, and never leave a child unattended.
Garden, bird, pond & tree nets
- Keep netting taut and well-secured with the included clips or pegs so wildlife cannot become entangled.
- Lift nets off at harvest and inspect them regularly through the season.
- Wrap tree nets snugly but loosen them as the tree grows.
Pet safety nets & pens
- Cat and bird nets are a supplementary safety layer and supervision aid — not a guaranteed escape-proof system or a replacement for a built fence.
- Install fully per the instructions, tension the net, and keep checking it.
- Pet pens are for supervised use only; stake them on soft ground and confirm stability first.
Sports nets
- Stake guy ropes clearly and keep the play area free of trip hazards.
- Set the correct height for volleyball or badminton before play.
- Take the net down and dry it before storing to extend its life.
Storage & food covers
- Mesh bags and food domes are washable and reusable — air dry before storing.
- Pop-up food domes spring open; keep fingers and small children clear when opening.
- Keep drawstrings away from young children.
